ORGAN DUET: JAMES FLORES & SAM GIDDY | Bédard: Variations sur “D’où viens-tu, bergère?”

@samuelgiddy7504 recently visited Albury to give a lunchtime organ recital. He played fantastically and will share some videos in due course. Here’s a short bio on Sam: he started learning the organ in 2011 and gained his LMusA at just fifteen years old. He then went on to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in organ performance and graduating in 2019. Sam has performed in many prestigious venues and events, including the Gottfried Silbermann Competition in Freiberg, Germany, and a recital tour of England, where he played at Chester and Guildford Cathedrals. He won the 2018/2022 Sydney Organ Competition and inaugurated the successful St Mark’s Organ Scholar Recital series. Aside from playing in liturgical events, Samuel performs regularly, composes, and teaches a number of organ students. His ultimate goal is to use music to bring enjoyment to others and praise to God.

I’m delighted that Sam agreed to record this organ duet with me after his recital. We had a lot of fun as you will see in the blooper reel!
