The “Alleluyas” by Simon Preston is probably his most famous organ solo work. Apart from being a composer, he was also an organist and conductor—serving at Westminster Abbey and Christ Church, Oxford. In his younger years he was a chorister and organ scholar at King’s College, Cambridge. Simon passed away on the 13th of May 2022. His contributions to music were extraordinary, and he will be greatly missed.
