I’ve always had a soft spot for French baroque music…and even more-so for playing them on French romantic instruments! This evening I didn’t feel like a purist so I recorded one of my favourite Dialogues from Guilain’s suite on the 4th tone on Caen. A lot of organists tend to play Clerambeault, Couperin and de Gringy, but I think Guilain deserves to be up there with the “organist French baroque staples”. I hope you enjoy my rendition of this piece.
