Three pieces I CAN PLAY by Healey Willian

James Healey Willan is probably most famous amongst the organ world for his epic piece “Introduction, Passacaglia and Fugue”. You won’t be hearing that in this video, but instead three preludes from volume three of “36 Short Preludes and Postludes on Hymn Tunes”. The pieces in this collection over three volumes are very accessible and useful within the church liturgy. As you would expect, the compositional style is in the English tradition so I decided to use the organ of Armley Schulze for my recording. This organ was sampled by Lavender Audio for Hauptwerk.
